TikTok banned in india

What is Tik Tok?

First of all, know what is Tik Tok, Tik Tok is a social media application through which smartphone users can create and share short videos (15 seconds to 1 minute). ‘Bite Dance’ is a company owned by it, which launched ‘Tik Tok’ in China in September 2016.

However, there are many reasons that Tik Tok is already being opposed to India. India and the entire world are suffering the brunt of this coronavirus which is now being called the ‘Chinese virus’. Emotions against China are emerging in India and along with this the demand from the Indian government to ban ‘Tik Tok’ has also started coming up.

Tik Tok has only two options in the name of security, first private and second public, Only you will be able to watch your videos or every person who has internet. if you want to delete your account, first you have to give a request when the officials of Tik Tok approve it, then your account will be deleted.

Since it is completely public, anyone can follow and message anyone. In such a situation, people of criminal or antisocial nature can easily mislead young children or adolescents. Many Tik Tok accounts are filled with adult content and since there is no filter, each Tik Tok user can see them, even children.

Due to Tik Tok Ban in India?

First of all, we will talk about the ongoing controversy, due to which people believe that tik tok can be banned in India, but this cannot happen because we cannot ban due to this controversy. But there are several reasons for its ban. A few days ago, in a video by Faisal Siddiqui throwing water at a girl who has been asked to promote an acid attack video, Tik Tok has no guidelines for children and adult content. For all these reasons Tik Tok may be banned in India. This is the reason that Indians are demanding a ban on the Tik Tok app by giving negative ratings through social media and on Google Play Store.

The speed at which the short video content platform Tik Tok advanced in the early stages of lockdown has now come back down as fast. Some minor incidents that have happened to Tik Tok recently have taken a big form. As a result, Tik Tok has started banning disputed accounts running on its platform.

Apart from banning Faizal Siddiqui’s account, the forum has said that the video posted from Faizal’s account violates his community guidelines. While fans of Faizal believe that thousands of videos are already available on Tiktok that match Faizal’s videos. However, those accounts were not restricted. So, why is Faisal treated double?

During the lockdown, Tik Tok was attacked as the fake news spread. This Chinese video platform suffered the brunt of the incident. Soon after, Faisal Siddiqui’s brother Aamir Siddiqui’s battle with YouTube Versus Tiktok’s Carryminati also caused massive damage to the stage. And now this new uproar resulting from a video on the acid attack has also proved fatal to TikTok. Due to these few incidents, millions of people in India have canceled the installation of TikTok with their phones. The app’s Google Play store rating has also weakened. TikTok’s rating has stayed at 1.2 straight after 4.5.
